What is a peg

Not an NFT.
Not a token, exactly.

A peg lives inside the token itself. Your integer balance is your collection — cross a whole number on the way up and a new dog is born; drop below it and it's gone. The decimals stay liquid; the integers take shape.

Every whole $ASTROPEG you hold is one unique pixel dog, minted and burned automatically as you trade. Balance and collection are the same object.

Fully on-chain

Art, traits, colors and rarity are generated by the contract and drawn as crisp vector pixels in its own bytecode. No IPFS, nothing to rot.

Sealed until reveal

Traits are fixed after the mint via commit-reveal — nobody can read or fish for the rare dogs while minting is live. Everyone reveals at once.

The inspiration

Asteroid

Asteroid is a the first Shiba in a spacesuit designed by Liv Perrotto, a young space fan, as the zero-gravity indicator that flew aboard SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission in 2024.

The story travelled: the plush became the official SpaceX mascot by Elon himself, and the space-dog-in-orbit image lodged itself in the internet's memory as part space lore, part Shiba meme.
